Softscape is a cozy first person landscaping and restoration game about transforming forgotten urban spaces into peaceful living gardens.

Design irrigation systems, prepare the ground, shape paths, plant trees, shrubs and flowers, and bring calm back to lifeless spaces.

This demo gives you a playable preview of Softscape’s core restoration loop: water, landscape, plant, decorate, and watch the space come back to life.

About the game

Softscape is about the quiet satisfaction of restoring life to neglected places.

Instead of rushing, fighting, or surviving, you take your time. You route water through empty plots, paint the ground with grass, stone and bark, place plants and decorations, and slowly turn empty urban spaces into peaceful sanctuaries, your way.

The full game is planned for Steam later this year, with more levels, more tools, more environments, and a deeper restoration journey centered around the Grand Tree.

Controls

• WASD = Movement
• Mouse = Camera controls
• Spacebar = Jump
• Left Click = Place / Paint
• Left Click + Drag = Move objects around
• Right Click = Delete

Landscaping/Painting Stage:

• Q = Mow grass 
• E = Eraser
• 1,2,3 = Switch between paints
• Mouse Wheel = Change Brush size
  
• Hold TAB to switch to Build/Planting stage

Build/Planting Stage:

• E = Open toolbox
• 1,2,3,4 = Switch active object/plant
• Q = Switch placement mode (free, line, spline)
• Hold TAB to switch to Landscaping/Painting Stage

Controls may vary slightly as development continues based on user feedback.
